Why Specialized E-Waste Recycling?

Electronics contain hazardous materials like mercury, cadmium, and lithium. When dumped in landfills, they leach into the soil and water, causing long-term damage. E-waste is one of the fastest-growing waste streams globally, with over 50 million metric tons of e-waste generated annually.

  • 50 million metric tons of e-waste are generated each year, with only 17.4% being recycled.
  • E-waste is one of the largest sources of toxic waste, with harmful chemicals affecting ecosystems and human health.
  • Recycling electronics reduces the need for mining raw materials, such as rare earth metals, which helps conserve natural resources.

Why Is It Free?

We fund our work by repairing, reusing, and reselling viable components. Electronics contain precious metals like gold, silver, and copper that can be recovered and reused. What can’t be reused is responsibly recycled with certified partners to ensure environmental safety.

  • Repairable devices are refurbished and resold, contributing to sustainability while generating funds.
  • Recycling reduces the need for mining, saving energy and reducing environmental impact.
  • For every ton of e-waste recycled, over $1,000 worth of valuable materials are recovered.

How We Recycle & Handle Data

  • Devices are inspected and sorted for repair, resale, or recycling.
  • Drives are securely wiped or removed on-site, ensuring data privacy and protection.
  • Usable components are repaired, reused, or sold, reducing landfill waste and supporting circular economies.
  • Non-usable parts are recycled with certified partners, ensuring proper disposal and environmental safety.

The recycling of one metric ton of electronics can save up to 2,000 pounds of raw materials and reduce CO2 emissions by 7.4 metric tons — the same as taking 1.5 cars off the road for a year.
